Description
The clay extracted from this site won't match the Stone output from a Stone Quarry, but it still has its uses and can be made into bricks. This building will thus grant a significant bonus to the Brickworks structure and is the exclusive alternative to a Stone Quarry (only available in rough terrain though).
The wattle-and-daub construction material evolved in the 13th century to using cob, made from clay. This was a very durable and fireproof material that could last centuries.
