Description

Tar will only be found in sufficient quantity in swamp regions and if you have tools available. Advanced Shipyards will grant an Equipment bonus if they have access to Tar, and it can also be used by some craftsmen to render their work watertight. This substance is used in ship making to coat hulls and prevent their fouling by small animals and algae. Tar is usually not transported any distance.
