2CommerceCommerce
Banking activities would range from Usurers (who were despised and promised Hell by the Church and were ranked at the same level as prostitutes), to the more accepted activity of Money Changer (if they abide by a certain morality in their conduct) to the prestigious merchant banker. The latter dealt in part with international commerce and in part with loaning money to monarchs and other established power groups (including the Church). Banks are quite important if you want to store your precious gold safely, as they allow you to increase the upper limit before which 25% of your Money is lost per turn.
