The Cloth Guild handles domestic textile production: wool, linen, and hemp. It regulates weavers, dyers, and spinners to maintain quality and control urban employment. Allowing some sort of mass production, it also benefits city militias and helps equip them quickly. This Guild gains an additional powerful ability when at least 4 population units are assigned to Commerce. -- The Drapers' Guilds of Bruges and Ypres, and the Arte della Lana (Florence) are historical examples of such guilds.
