Description

Brass was commonly used in the Middle Ages to make all sorts of implements for daily life, but also by the clergy to embellish religious structures. Brass is necessary for the Cauldronmaker, a Tier I Infrastructure building, and is used as a bonus by several other buildings. It's an alloy made of copper and either zinc (common) or lead (rarer and more prestigious), although other metals can be used, even arsenic or aluminium. Brass is not bronze, another copper alloy using Tin, which was much more common in ancient times. In Medieval times Tin is used to make pewter, an alloy used for decorative purposes.
