Description

This physician is more versed than a practitioner in medical science. He might have attended a medical school and probably can read Latin and Greek, thus allowing him to read many treatises. If a Muslim, they might have been translated into Arabic. His skills partly come from previous curing attempts on the less fortunate, whose fate was seen to be of no importance. With enough experience, he can even be employed by kings. Dissection was looked down upon but not completely forbidden by the Church, but considered foul by Islam. Still, the presence of a Cemetery in the same region will be largely profitable to his skill (EVENT). The Physician can make a lucrative job of his knowledge should Herbs, Salt or Naphtha be available. An Hostel of God or a Physician House is required to build a Leprosarium.
