Description

Ceramic pottery, an art perfected by the Chinese was also developed greatly by Byzantine and Muslim potters. At its base, it is often clay pottery which is then glazed to make it impermeable and then ready for painting. Porcelain will use instead of clay another material named silicate. Techniques for the making and painting of ceramic evolved exquisitely over the age, to the point that many pieces are works of art fit for a noble or a king!
