Inquisition Office

2PietyJob Kind Religious

Description

Ecclesiastical tribunal created to identify and prosecute heresy, enforcing religious orthodoxy through inquiry and confession. It marked the rise of formal judicial control within the Church. EVENT: When built, will automatically remove a heretic. Then has roughly a 10% chance per turn to remove one in its region or an adjacent controlled region. -- The Toulouse Inquisition in Languedoc, instituted in 1233, is a historical example of such a tribunal.
