Description

This represents a modest Commandery owned by a Christian Order of Knights. Not quite a castle, but still walled and somehow fortified, it houses a score or two of knights. These formidable opponents or allies are supported by men at arms and aspiring squires. Despite being registered as belonging to the region owner, the Commandery can't be removed willingly and will tax some of the income of the region for the Knightly order and not for the region owner. EVENT: It can spontaneously raises its own troops or evolve to a larger structure. With times and the approval of the Holy See, a complete web of commanderies, priories and bailiwicks can emerge, a state within the state that can contest and challenge the decisions of the local king.
