Description

This is the 2nd step of the construction of an imposing Large mosque. The final step will provide several benefits to the owning nation. In this step, the building of the walls is well underway, using bricks or blocks of stone that are carefully cut and shaped to fit together. As the mosque begins to take shape, the workers will add additional features, such as windows, doors, and arches, to give the building its distinctive appearance. Often a dome will be constructed in lieu of the highest roof, as it symbolizes the vault of heaven, and its curved shape is thought to represent the unity and universality of Allah.
