Description

A very common punishment in Medieval Islam was being submitted to gald or flogging, as it could be made more or less severe (with temporary or permanent injuries), depending on the gravity of the offense or crime. More drastic measures were the Ragm or Stoning to death. Thieves got a special treatment with Qat, the amputation of the hand. An increase in Revolt Risk is only relevant if the regional Loyalty is low, but it will magnify the revolt if it ever happens.
