Salpeter Works

Description

A facility devoted to the extraction and purification of natural nitrates from earth, waste, or decomposed matter. Its workers supply the essential ingredient that makes the new black powder possible. With the Dovecote building, it is one of the few structures that is a prerequisite for the Gunpowder Workshop, a pivotal building for gunpowder units. Although precious for war, its nitrate-rich residues also nourish the fields.
