Artillery Foundry

3MilitaryMilitary

Description

This building is a strict requirement for the fabrication of bombards. In addition, if such a unit is recruited in a region without a Gunpowder Workshop, it will suffer a penalty. This is a specialized industrial yard where bronze and iron are cast into standardized bombards and cannon pieces for field and fortress use. Skilled founders and moulders work under royal or civic contract to meet the growing demand for gunpowder artillery. Historical examples would be the royal foundries of Liège (Belgium) and Milan (Italy).
