Equivalent to a Provincial Capital for the Mongols, the traveling camp of a Mongol lord is made up of felt tents, herds, and retainers moving with the seasons. It embodies the daily rhythm of nomadic life and a flexible seat of power, with a chance that the capital may spontaneously shift to another region within the same demesne (EVENT). This is of great interest to the Mongols, as artisan captives and forced population movements tend to arrive in provincial capitals.
