A Concentric Castle is the high point of medieval castle design. Its main feature is to have two walls, the inner one being higher than the outer one, effectively creating a 'castle in a castle'. These defenses were often so formidable that no assault was even attempted, and the garrison resistance to a long siege was the prime factor (if not the only one!) to consider. Their main drawback was their cost, for example Edward I 'longshanks' spent the equivalent of one year of the national budget for the construction of Caernarfon. Concentric castles need an availability of Stone 'on site' and they won't be imported from afar. EVENT: In addition to its other bonuses, the castle will grant you an extra Regional Decision, providing you with an extra <color>character once and a lump sum of 150 Legacy Points.
