A wallburg is a walled village as encountered in many nations of central Europe. A possible declination is the Gorod or Grad, in Slavonic countries. It features a massive wall often earth-filled with material taken from the exterior ditch and compacted then constrained by stone or timbers. This is a very resistant construction given its thickness, although the wall formed is seldomly very high. Within it live the population and the local noble.
